Magic Stack

2. Autoria e originalidade

Ao enviar, você declara que:

  • a contribuição foi criada por você, ou você tem autorização para cedê-la nos termos abaixo;
  • ela não copia texto, imagem ou personagem protegido de terceiros (obras publicadas, jogos, filmes, séries etc.);
  • ela não contém dados pessoais de terceiros, nem trata pessoas reais de forma ofensiva ou difamatória;

  • reproduzir, editar, revisar, resumir, adaptar e combinar com outros textos, para manter a coerência da obra;
  • traduzir para outros idiomas;
  • publicar no site do Magic Stack, em repositórios de código e em plataformas de jogo online (como mesas virtuais);
  • publicar em livro impresso, livro digital (e-book) e PDF;

6. Possível uso comercial no futuro

  • não haverá pagamento, participação nos lucros nem qualquer outro valor financeiro pela contribuição;
  • você será creditado(a) como coautor(a) conforme os níveis de participação da seção 7;
  • o Autor avisará você pelo e-mail informado com pelo menos 30 dias de antecedência da publicação comercial. Nesse prazo, você pode pedir que sua contribuição seja retirada da edição comercial, desde que ela ainda não tenha sido publicada comercialmente;

Você será informado(a) do nível atribuído.

12. Contato e foro

Contribution and Consent Terms — Magic Stack

Version 1.0 · in force since 2026-10-06

This is a translation for convenience. The Portuguese version governs.

Magic Stack is a shelf of tabletop RPG stories maintained by Murillo França M. da Silva ("the Author"). These terms explain what happens to what you send through the contribution form. To send it, you must tick the consent boxes. The version you accepted, the date and the boxes you ticked are recorded with your contribution.

1. What a contribution is

Any text, written idea, character, scene, rule, ending, source or other material you send through this form for a Magic Stack work.

2. Authorship and originality

By sending, you declare that:

  • you created the contribution, or you are authorised to license it under these terms;
  • it does not copy protected text, images or characters from others (published books, games, films, series and so on);
  • it contains no personal data about third parties and does not treat real people in an offensive or defamatory way;
  • you are 18 or older, or you send it with the consent of your legal guardian.

3. You remain the author

You keep the copyright in what you created and may use your own contribution elsewhere. Your moral rights under Brazilian Law 9.610/1998 are preserved: to be named as the author, or to stay anonymous if you choose, and not to have your work distorted.

4. The licence you grant the Author

You grant the Author a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence, with no end date and irrevocable once published, to use the contribution in Magic Stack works and works derived from them, in these ways:

  • reproduce, edit, revise, summarise, adapt and combine it with other texts to keep the work coherent;
  • translate it into other languages;
  • publish it on the Magic Stack site, in code repositories and on online play platforms (such as virtual tabletops);
  • publish it in printed books, e-books and PDFs;
  • adapt it into audio, video, board games or digital games based on the work.

Edits made to fit your contribution into the work do not change your authorship. If the text is heavily changed, the credit will read "adapted from a contribution by [your name]".

5. Current use: non-commercial

Magic Stack is currently a non-commercial project. Content published on the site is available to the public under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), and your accepted contribution will be published under the same terms.

6. Possible commercial use in the future

If the Author later decides to publish a work that includes your contribution commercially (for example, selling a book or PDF, or running a crowdfunding campaign):

  • there will be no payment, profit share or any other financial value for the contribution;
  • you will be credited as a co-author according to the participation levels in section 7;
  • the Author will notify you at the email you gave at least 30 days before the commercial release. During that time you may ask for your contribution to be left out of the commercial edition, as long as it has not yet been published commercially;
  • whatever is already published for free under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 remains available under that licence.

7. Co-author credits

Every accepted contribution is credited. The credit level depends on your participation and its relevance to the final work:

LevelWhen it appliesWhere the credit appears
1 — ContributorAn idea, detail, correction or source the Author incorporates with editing.The work's list of contributors.
2 — Section collaboratorA segment published essentially in your words: a character, a place, a scene, a rule.On the page itself ("Written with [name]") and in the contributors list.
3 — Co-authorA structural or decisive contribution: an ending, an arc, several pages, or material without which the final work would not be the same.In the work's main credits ("by Murillo França M. da Silva and [name]"), as well as the earlier levels.
  • The Author decides the level, weighing how much of your text was kept, its originality and its impact on the story. You will be told the level you received.
  • Credits add up: several contributions can raise your level.
  • You can ask for your level to be reviewed at any time through the contact below.
  • You choose how to be credited: by name, by a pseudonym, or anonymously.

8. Review and contributions that are not accepted

  • The Author reviews every contribution before publishing it, and sending one does not guarantee it will be published.
  • Contributions that are not accepted will not be published. Many people can have similar ideas, and the Author writes too, so similar ideas developed independently do not count as use of your contribution.
  • Before publication you can withdraw your contribution at any time, without giving a reason.

9. Your personal data (Brazil's LGPD)

To identify, credit and notify you, we collect your name, credit name and email. The version of these terms you accepted and the date and time of sending are also recorded.

  • Purpose: to review the contribution, talk to you about it, credit you and send the notice in section 6.
  • Legal basis: performance of these terms and your consent (Law 13.709/2018, art. 7, I and V).
  • Where it is kept: in a private GitHub repository that only the Author can access. The submission passes through a Cloudflare service that protects the form against spam. These providers may process data outside Brazil.
  • What we never do: sell your data, share it with third parties, or use your email for anything else.
  • Your rights: you can ask to access, correct or delete your data through the contact below. Your credit name stays in the published work while your contribution is part of it, unless you chose to be anonymous.
  • How long: data is kept while the contribution is under review or part of a work.

10. Conduct

Contributions with hate speech, sexual content involving minors, harassment or plagiarism, or that expose or attack real people, will not be accepted. Paranapiacaba and other real places named in the works are living communities and must be treated with respect.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version gets a new number and applies only to contributions sent after it. Changes that reduce your rights apply to earlier contributions only if you agree.

12. Contact and governing law
